Ash-covered Maj'elka is a Quest Echo. The level of Enemies and maximum Equipment drops in this zone is 90. It appears in the alternative timeline Spirits of Fire.

The Necromantic Shamans rule supreme in an alternative Imperial era, destroying everything in their wake.
The Traveler arrives to the outskirts of the burning Maj'elka, where a flock of people along with the Shrine Maiden have extracted. The Maiden tells that the city has been levelled, and a pyromancer in the middle of the former city is channelling a ritual to keep the embers ever awake.
Throughout the city ruins, Bone Pyre containers and undead imperials haunt the area. These are fought through, and the Traveler manages to destroy the Pyres and liberate Trader Golabi.
Eventually, the Shrine Maiden awaits the Traveler in front of the shielded pyromancer. On her mark, she uses her watery magic to dispel the flame barrier and they confront the Volcanic Pyromancer, who is no match for their combined might.
After the fight, the Shrine Maiden remarks that although the destruction has been ceased around the area, the Volcanic Shamans prepare for a large eruption in the mountains, in order to sweep the entire area away.
