Hey everyone!
This is a safe, easy caster build using Shaman as its class type and doesn't require 20 affix gear to be great, even having 12-15 affix gear will allow you to push 600+ arena waves.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Good Zoning
- Decently fast leveling
- Hardcore viable
- Can push 600+ arena waves
- Good single target dps
- Good amount of life leech
Cons:
- Can get 1 shot if you don't dodge high dmg spells
- Have to re-summon pets/totems a lot
- Entangle roots spam can hinder floor vision for dodging aoe

Equipment Commentary[]
Basically just want to stack spell dmg where we good since its the only Prefix that will effect Tornado/lightning strike/Roots after that Attunement is the next highest dps for all 3. For protections you can really use what you feel but from high level arena a lot of the damage you'll be taking is: Fireballs time to time Necrotic from the bee looking minion (Blood rip>>converted to necrotic) Void damage from the dark seers After those 3 damages you're usually dodging anything big enough to one shot you and nothing else should really be hitting you with good root control & tornado spam.
Skill Overview and Leveling[]
NOTE: All the skill trees are listed in the order I would level them once you specialize in them.
Once you're level 100 the skills you'll be using are: Summon Thorn Totem, Entangling Roots, Eterra's Blessing, Fury Leap, Tornado. For leveling 1-35 the skills will be: Summon Wolf, Entangling Roots, Eterra's Blessing, Fury Leap, Swipe. From level 35-90+ the skills will be: Summon Wolf, Entangling Roots, Eterra's Blessing, Fury Leap, Tornado.
Level 1-35: Summon Wolf: (Remember to look above for the skill order) This will be used in your first skill specialization. As you're leveling up you will want to level Summon Wolf and get your second wolf asap followed by the Attunement so that they will do a lot more damage and be really tanky. Make sure to always be using your wolves ability to buff your damage as much as possible. Swipe: For leveling speed and ease I recommend using Swipe until about level 35-40 and this will be going in your second specialization slot. The damage of swipe is really good early game and once you get the attunement node you'll start scaling throughout the rest of the leveling process until you find a good wand and get some levels in tornado. (level 31(Arch Mage Wand) and 37(Storm Priest Wand) are the wand drops you're looking for) Entangling Roots: This will be the third specialization slot so that by the time we do hit 35 its nice and leveled up for good control and damage. This will be your main bread and butter spell for both damage and control until tornado can start to out dps it. Tornado: Once we hit level 34 we will put this as our next skill specialization and use it with entangling roots, until this spell is leveled up it doesn't do amazing damage as well as getting passive points into base spell damage. Fury Leap: Will be our next skill to specialize in and we are mainly doing this for the damage and cast speed increase that it provides. Once you're switched to wands you can remove Swipe for Fury leap specialization. Eterra's Blessing: This spell does not have a skill tree yet so just use it once you get it and don't worry about specializing into it. Summon Thorn Totem: Since Eterra's Blessing does not have a skill tree this will just go into our last skill specialization slot so that once we hit 90+ we can swap to totems rather than wolves for late game arena waves.
As you're leveling up try to stack Attunement where you can followed by Health/Protections/Dodge
Level 35-90ish: At this point you should be swapping from leveling + monolith runs to getting ready for arena runs. At this point most of our gear should be low quality (10 Tiers worth of Affix mods) of mostly Attunement followed up by some form of health/protections/dodge and we will want to start fine tuning our gear. The first thing we want to do is get our Glancing blow to 100%+ followed by some Attunement and health, If you need to make more items have glancing early on to hit 100% that is fine but really try to get Double T5 glancing on Body armor/Belt as that will give you up to 74% on two items and then we just need 2 more items with it on (gloves/helm). In the Mid levels just go for a really good set of items (15 Tiers of Affix Mods) or more and Start pushing arena whenever you feel fine, Personally I just try to get 100% glancing, even if its on a ring or shield to start out that's fine.
Arena: In the arena you'll start in the middle as always and just run to a side (I usually run down) you'll want to throw roots so that it slows the mobs coming from the south (usually once you hit the choke point) and then stand behind your wolves so that they block any projectile coming your way. As your wolves engage on the enemy run passed and go to the southern spawn point and this is where we will mainly sit until high arena waves (200+ depending on gear and level etc) always run in a 360 so that your boots keep summoning roots/vines and if melee enemy mobs get close hard cast roots and use tornado if needed (1 root will usually kill any melee group of mobs until wave 400+). On every wave spawn zone with roots and kill the range units asap with tornado spam.
Level 90+ By now most of our gear should be 16+ affix levels and we should be min/maxing for the affix's. You should also have or start having the passive to increase spell damage based on the amount of totems you have which will be a huge increase to damage as well as the defensive nodes that will give you some extra protections for having totems out as well. Once you get to later arena's I usually swap my wolves out for totems as the wolves will just die most of the time now, for monolith runs you can still use wolves though or early arena levels 1-200/300?. Just min max gear and practice zoning with roots while spamming tornado and you should be able to get 500+ waves pretty easy.
