Elder Gaspar is a Non-Combative Human Boss Non-Player Character. They can be found in The Council Chambers and The End of Time. Elder Gaspar is a member of the Elders of the Council in the Ruined Era.

History[]

Gaspar is a honored elder, who oversees the defense of a Shard and practices elemental magic. He has studied the Shard extensively, and devotes most of his life to harness its energy to prevail against the Void.

He is surprised to see the Traveler to have arrived through a time rift, but he remains content. He calmly tells them how the Shards can be used to reform the Epoch to repel the Void and alter the flow of time. The Shard is however taken by the twisted Elder Pannion, who believes that the possession of the artifact can change humanity for the better. He sends the Traveler after the deserting sage.

After the Shard is retrieved, Gaspar shows the way forward for the Traveler through a drawbridge.

In the Monolith of Fate[]

Elder Gaspar appears as a final boss in the level 90 timeline, The Last Ruin.

Battle[]

Gaspar is fought much like Elder Pannion in the story, with the difference that he has larger and more devastating spells at his disposal, taking them to the next level, while augmenting them with Void abilities.

Elder Gaspar specializes in area attacks. His signature move is his combined elemental beam, which he casts in all three elements while slowly spinning around: this can be avoided by staying close to him. He also throws lightning traps that explode upon contact with a delay, but these can linger indefinitely in the area. Gaspar also plants destructible Flame Totems that emit a weak fire burst each upon a command alongside Gaspar: these can overlap though for massive damage. Finally, Gaspar can channel the powers of ice to prepare snow cascades that travel in random directions towards the outside of the arena.

Gaspar's Void spells invlude a five-way spike burst that has little to no telegraph time, and an ultimate ability that conjures two large explosions, then a consuming whirlwind that limits the arena to a small circle for a short while. During this time, Gaspar's ground traps and flame totems become extremely deadly, if there is a lot of them left untriggered. He can also teleport to a random location or to the player.

Gaspar has no phases and continues casting abilities until defeated.
