Spymaster Zerrick is a Enemy Undead Boss Non-Player Character. They can be found in Titan's Canyon, Immortal Citadel and Monolith of Fate.
Spymaster Zerrick is a deformed humanoid worm and a miniboss at Titan's Canyon.
History[]
Zerrick, the Rogue has become the Immortal Emperor's trusted enforcer a thousand years after the Divine era. He was granted immortality for his services, in return to twisting his body and evolving it further. He oversees the construction of artificial waypoints throughout Eterra, for which he abducts and slaughters animals and humans in droves, whose souls are conserved as fuel for their operation.
In the Imperial era, the Traveler looks for the Immortal Citadel, of which Zerrick comes to know. He sets a trap by rerouting one of the waypoints to a remote slaughterhouse, where he awaits them with his own guards. However, he goes down in a fight, opening the way up forward. As the heroes progress through the Eastern Mountains, Zerrick's corpse is collected by the Emperor.
Soon, Alric and the Traveler reach the Citadel. As they prepare to confront the Emperor, turns out that Yulia has served covertly as the Emperor's High Priestess, who drops the veil. A fight erupts, as Yulia takes on Traveler with her resurrected enforcers, Zerrick and Admiral Harton. The trio eventually loses the fight, and on the brink of death, Yulia uncovers herself as a double-agent, seeking the death of the Immortal Emporor and instructing the Traveler to use Heorot's Lance. As it is nowhere to be found, she opens a portal to the Divine Era for the Traveler, while keeping the Emperor frozen, as a last-ditch effort.
Tactics[]
Zerrick is a durable foe, having his skeletal body fused together with a leech husk. He has zoning potential due to calling constant reinforcement squads of Zerrick's Hand skeletons, as well as he lobs poison to blanket large areas around them, forcing them to constantly be on the move.
Another trait of Zerrick is his nigh invulnerability to attacks. To remove his blocking ability, you must move into melee range, upon which he exposes his torso and swipes you with his scythe-like limbs. Although this requires you to burn through potions and take damage, Zerrick can quickly fall if forced to stay in this state.
