A display of the Ruins of Welryn in the imperial and void eras

Time Travel is one of the core Game Features of Last Epoch and an intrinsic part of the World of Eterra.

Overview[]

Last Epoch's story plays out in the World of Eterra, featuring significant landmarks of history known as eras. As the main player character, not only you can play through an era and act around in, but you can move from one to another by certain means. Time travel is not possible beyond the End of Time, the furthermost point of all time.

During the campaign, one timeline will be moved around in and interweave a series of acts to form the plot. After the Epoch is assembled, multiple alternate timelines can be discovered in the Monolith of Fate, which may or may not have been aligned with the main timeline.

Known means of Time Travel[]

  • Interacting with the Epoch (and its shards) allows its bearer to travel through time. This can be done to an already discovered Waypoint, even across time, or at certain parts of the campaign. The same applies to moving from one waypoint to another.
  • Entering time rifts will propel the player to a new location. Rifts can be traversed only one-way, unless a Rift exists on the same place at the point of destination.
  • Interacting with orbiting jewels in the End of Time allows travelling to a location of a Monolith timeline.
  • The Void Knight's Anomaly skill sends enemies forward in time a few seconds.
  • The Void Knight's Volatile Reversal skill sends him back in time a few seconds.
  • The Shade of Orobyss can manifest itself in any timeline in the Monolith of Fate.
