Yulia is a Friendly Human Non-Player Character. They can be found in Heoborea, Thetima, Sor'ethka and Maj'elka. They are a prominent Story Character in the World of Eterra.
Overview[]
Yulia is a thousand-year-old priestess. Initially serving Heoborea's cause as its Chieftain, she survived the Osprix campaign and ended up in the eternal service of the Immortal Emperor. Her disillusion to the coming of humanity under has motivated her to help what is left of the living, and thus she accompanies the Traveler on their quest.
History[]
Divine era - Heoborean Chieftain[]
Yulia oversees the government of Heoborea in the rank of Chieftain, when the lands come under attack by the invading Osprix. The invasion force is led by Rahyeh, who mortally wounds the patron Heorot in a duel, which Yulia is forced to witness. At the same time, she is encountered by the Traveler fleeing from Solarum, whom she takes into patronage.
Yulia guides the Traveler on a long trail to combat Rahyeh's efforts, with hopes that they can defeat him with the Lance of Heorot: a sacred artifact that can make gods kneel, if empowered with the blessings of other gods (a droplet of their divine blood). With her help, the Traveler is able to secure the weapon and enlist Grael, the champion of Heoborea. After the Traveler's encounter with Lagon, she sails to the Nagasa city of Soreth'ka.
In the Nagasan territories, Yulia hopes to find Majasa in order to be granted her blessing as well. As Rahyeh's invasion also engulfs and reaches the nearby roads, she meets up with the Traveler in Maj'elka, the capital of the Nagasa. She informs them that the Vessel Maidens of Majasa are about to commit a sacrifice in order to rejuvenate their goddess's powers, with an intricate timing.
Imperial era[]
By the Imperial era, Yulia became an immortal servant of the Immortal Emperor, gaining the title of 'High Priestess'. Over time, she became weary of the Immortal Empire's suffocating politics and the tendency to slowly seep away what remained of the Divine era's prosperity. This made her aid the living and the Outcasts, who became dangerously close to vanishing.
In 1005 AG, the Traveler arrives through time and with guidance, to Maj'elka. Yulia seizes the opportunity and decides it is time to assassinate the Immortal Emperor. As Alric leads the Traveler to her hideout, she guides the two to the Immortal Citadel: the head of operations for the Emperor. When the Traveler arrives, they are met with Yulia and the Immortal Emperor, who have trapped Alric. To test the mettle of their newcomer, the Emperor resurrects the fallen Admiral Harton and Spymaster Zerrick, who Yulia aids. As Yulia falls with her comrades, the Emperor prepares for interrogation, but she intervenes, immobilizing the skeletal lord. She also quickly instructs the Traveler to seek out Heorot and his lance in order to get another chance against her lord, opening a time rift and escaping.
In the Immortal Citadel[]
Yulia aids Admiral Harton and Spymaster Zerrick in a cutthroat fight. She takes a supportive role, hurling necrotic bolts and icy orbs capable of dealing Frostbite. She can also heal her allies for a limited amount.
Yulia is the most fragile out of the three undead, succumbing easily to a few attacks and spells.
In the Monolith of Fate[]
Yulia also appears as a mini-boss in the level 80 timeline, Fall of the Empire.
